I’ve talked about my hair on my blog a few times already. Naturally, it’s a mix of curly waves and frizz. It can certainly be hard to work with, and most days I don’t have the patience to deal with my natural hair. I’ve decided that this summer I’m going to try to stop using so much heat on it, but for now I thought I would share with you my typical haircare routine. Some days I will plan to just throw it up in a bun or braid, so I obviously won’t go through these steps. But, when I’m planning to wear it down, I always straighten it. I probably straighten it 1-3 times a week in total.
First step of the process would be washing my hair, obviously. I use whatever shampoo I have around, I like to switch it up. But, I always use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle as my conditioner.
After, I use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In Conditioner and brush through my hair with a tangle tamer brush. I then use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Blow Dry Perfector Straightening Balm and TRESemmé Heat Tamer Spray and blow dry my hair.
After, I straighten my hair using my CHI Hair Straightener!
After I straighten it I use either CHI Silk Infusion or Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray to make it shinier!
There you have it, my super simple hair straightening routine. I don’t think I really use anything special when it comes to my hair products, but all of the items listed above are ones I have used for months or even years. I would definitely recommend any of them if you are looking for new products to try!
