I am definitely not a planning expert, by any means. But, I like reading others’ planning posts, so I decided that today I would share my planning routine with you all! I do like physically writing things down, and I think I have a minor addiction to making to-do lists. In addition to the physical planner mentioned below, I use Google Calendar to roughly plan blog-related things, and I also have a list to keep track of assignments and exams on my computer.
What planner do I use?
Currently, I am using a Lilly Pulitzer Agenda that I purchased in the summer of 2015. This means that it is almost time for me to find a new planner *insert sad emoji*. I personalized mine with a gold monogram on the front. I really like that the Lilly Agenda has a horizontal layout, because I find that it is the most practical for students!
How do I organize my planner?
I prefer to use one color pen for each type of item. For example, I use pink for tests, teal for assignments, and red for meetings. I know some people use one color for a class or activity, but I prefer to colorcode by type! I also keep a sticky note on the weekend area of the weekly layout that serves as my on-going to-do list for the week.
What are my favorite pens to use?
Like every other blogger ever, I use the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens. They are very long lasting and smooth to write with! I have also used the Infinity Fine Tip Pens by Write Dudes, as an alternative.
Where is my favorite place to look for planner decorations and sticky notes?
The Target Dollar Spot! Most of the time when I go to Target, I try my hardest to avoid the Dollar Spot. I always end up walking out with 5 new adorable sticky notepads that I definitely don’t need. I have had issues sticking to using an agenda in the past, which is why I think it’s important to use decorations to make planning fun. I feel so much more motivated to use my planner when I decorate it!
There you have it, everything you need to know about my planner!
